Teri's passion in life has always been working with horses. She
started owning and training horses at the age of nine. She has ridden
multiple disciplines throughout the years due to her father being
transferred around the world in his military career. These disciplines
include western pleasure, gymkhana events, hunter jumpers and eventing.
Now she specializes in the sport of dressage.
Over the years she has managed her own business and barn, teaching
lessons, training, and selling horses. She has bred and raised several
of her own show prospects. She enjoys helping clients bring their own
horses up through the levels. Teri has shown several young horses
successfully in the Young Horse program and has been invited to
participate in the Young Horse Training sessions. She has personally
trained with many of the top professionals in the dressage field,
including Klaus Balkenhol, Steffen Peters, Christine Traurig, Kathleen
Raine, Debbie McDonald, Shirley Rector, Gina Smith and Leslie Reed.
Teri has been on the Developing Riders list and has participated at
Gladstone at the Intermediare 1 Championships. She has earned her USDF
Bronze, Silver and Gold medals. She has won numerous USDF and USEF
awards. She is currently enjoying training several young horses to
bring up the ranks. She has also been coaching young riders to compete
successfully at the NAJRYC and Gladstone Festival of the Horse.
Although her profession requires a dedicated and passionate work ethic, her love for the sport makes it easy for her to consider it a pleasure.
